Head Volleyball Coach/Recruiter

A native of Springfield, Oregon, Kelly Rosin graduated from Springfield High School where she was a four year varsity letterman in volleyball, graduating in 2003.  While attending high school, Rosin not only co-captained the volleyball squad for her junior and senior seasons, she also earned such honors as the Midwestern league Most Valuable Player two seasons in a row, First Team All League, and All-State team.  As one of the top volleyball athlete recruits in the Pacific Northwest for 2003, she went on to play for the Washington State Cougars in Pullman, Washington.  Rosin secured a full-ride athletic scholarship and accomplished the goal that she had set as a young athlete, to play in the PAC-10.

During her collegiate career from 2003-2007, she was named to several All-Tournament teams including the UNLV Classic and Loyola Marymount University Invitational.  She was voted by her teammates as the Cougars Most Valuable Player in 2004 and 2006, and earned the Coaches’ Award in 2005.  While training with the Cougars in the off-season of 2005, she was invited to participate in the U.S. Women’s National Team three- day tryout at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Having the opportunity to compete with the top collegiate volleyball players in the nation for a spot on the National Team was the highpoint of her volleyball career. During the summers in Pullman, Rosin began her coaching training through WSU’s camps for high school athletes as well as the University of Idaho’s camps.   Wrapping up her senior season at WSU, she received a nomination for PAC-10 Player of the Week.  Upon graduation, Rosin left her mark in the Cougar record books by placing in the top ten career records in three categories: Kills, Block Assists, and Total Blocks.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Human Development with a minor in Sociology in 2007.

After college, Kelly received a phone call from her former high school coach telling her of an opening as a Junior Varsity coach at her alma mater.  With that call, she was quickly back in Oregon, ready to start her coaching career at the place where it all began.  She coached at Springfield High School during the 2007 season and joined the coaching staff at Thurston High School from 2008 to 2010.  Kelly has also coached with Webfoot Juniors Volleyball Club in Eugene, Oregon.  Kelly joined New Hope Christian College in June 2011.
